Can you explain to ClaretnHugh why the owners are liars and shit. He seems to think they are Diamond.

Why on Earth are the next lot likely to be worse than the current lot?

Re: Some Light At The End of the Tunnel ?
Southbanknornnbred called it right in my view.

Putting aside the fact that this is clearly a wind up by a regular poster (the idea of them building a new ground and quasi-managing the OS was him seeing just how gullible some of us are), any new buyer is almost certainly going to use the club as collateral to buy the club and the club’s revenue will service the debt.

The current ownership is shit. The next ones are unlikely to be better and more likely to be worse. I want new owners, but only if they are better than the current lot.

If a takeover is imminent it has my support. Some will say the grass isn't always greener, but we've had a mud heap for the last decade bar a fresh crop in 2016, so I'll take my chances.

They must:

Ensure or colours remain claret and blue
Re-do that fucking badge or opt for an old one
Look to buy the London with conversion at the heart of it
No attempts to rebrand

Anyone got a Genie to rub?

Re: Some Light At The End of the Tunnel ?
I'm certainly not driven by money and success, but what the Man City owners have done outside of the FFP issues (which stem from a desire to be successful which would be a fucking turn up at ours) is admirable and not all about the money necessarily.

Give me their owners over our lying, cheating cunts any day of the week. With or without the success.

Re: Some Light At The End of the Tunnel ?
Man City this, Man City that. This would be the Man City that have broken Financial Fair Play. Not exactly perfect are they. I'm sure they'll wave some money at the problem.
We'll probably be the first club with a Billionaire Oil baron that goes bust as the world switches to electric vehicles. That is how our luck is.

I'm not materialistic, I'm not driven by money and buying success and I can tell some on here are.
I just want this lot out and our club back. A proper club with proper supporters and values. It's probably the thoughts of a idiot given the game isn't about those things anymore.

Re: Some Light At The End of the Tunnel ?
their youth facilities are second to none.
they also pay for their kids to attend a local private school, if the kid is released they still continue to pay to put them through their schooling.

there is also a bridge they built from the development 'campus' across to the stadium, i like the symbolism of it.

Absolutely. I think they've also invested in Manchester and the community and put a long term vision and structure in place.

I wonder if it happens.
I can’t say I will jump for joy if it does.
We’ve seen a few owners and never good ones.
I’m happy to give different owners ago.
I definitely won’t be getting excited by the new promises that no doubt would be freely given.
I’ll only get excited when I see decent results and ground changes.

Southbankbornnbred

I'm reading a Clive Cussler book at the moment "The Emperors Revenge", there is a a Russian Billionaire who is just about to get a share of 30 BILLION Euro's .
Maxim Antonovich is our man.
He states in the book he is WHU fan, wants to invest.

............
the last sentence was pure fiction.

Re: Some Light At The End of the Tunnel ?
I would say the West Ham we knew has gone, courtesy of GSB with the memories of what was there just living in our heads.
All this careful what you wish for. What's left to lose, these losers aren't taking us anywhere except relegation and not much presence in knock out competitions. All the fucking lies they have served up and killed our club at the same time. What an achievement that is, that's ALL they will be remembered for.
It's a punt, but isn't it worth it unless you are happy with the current situation, something has to give, something HAS to change.
Who really wants to see these tossers in charge a day longer than they could be.

Re: Some Light At The End of the Tunnel ?
I think man city owners maintain a distance and have someone who Clearly knows what they are doing running the show on a day to day basis. Same with Spuds.

GSB are just a shit show.

Re: Some Light At The End of the Tunnel ?
Now there is every chance this is a load of made up shit.

However this 'new' poster is clearly eloquent and if he is winding us up the effort alone is admirable.

I don't think relegation would put off a potential buyer but it might put off the seller who want the glory and the extra cash of promotion.

I just really hope it's true. I really hope it happens and we all know what hope does to you as a Hammer!

Johnson 3:19 Mon Jun 29
Re: Some Light At The End of the Tunnel ?
The Man City owners didn’t really understand Man City before they took over but made it their job to find out and ingratiate themselves with the community.

I don’t think they have to understand it first, think they have to be prepared to try.

GSB have done neither.

Re: Some Light At The End of the Tunnel ?
Anyone buying into the club is unlikely to be seeing things through the Lens of a long time supporter. Imagine it were one of us with a billion or two to spare, I’m willing to bet our biggest priority would be to address our home, I would abandon and move elsewhere or knock down and rebuild. Anyone else might just see 60k selling out every week and continue papering over the cracks.

Whilst anyone would be better than the current owners, we ideally need someone who gets football and this club. Even Gold, who purportedly grew up around uptown park had no qualms about selling up and moving. Money talks ultimately and, if true, while I’ll be glad to see the back of this lot, we need to expect that anyone buying in will be investing in a business and not a sentiment.

Re: Some Light At The End of the Tunnel ?
Johnson - I agree but my point was really that I want any new owner to really understand the club and it's supporters and not disregard them as a nuisance or treat them like fickle 'customers'.
A lot of people seem to get excited by foreign interest as it might mean the back of this lot and a few quid to spend.
I'm all for new owners but cautious that foreign investors are really committed to the same things as the majority of fans. I'm sick of the bullshit inside the club and want to love it again for what it once was.

Owners who don't want women on the roads, or owners who might move us to a new purpose built football stadium?

I'm in!

I would take them in a heartbeat over the 3 stooges we have in charge, they can kill and behead people back in their country if that's what they want. I just want to see West Ham be successful
